The Microsoft Visio IFilter 2003 is a component used by the Windows Indexing service and SharePoint Portal Server 2003 to extract text strings from Visio files (.VSD, .VSS, .VST, .VDX, .VSX, and .VTX formats). The text strings are then indexed by these servers and the resulting indices are made available to several client applications that provide a user interface to search for text strings in files. The Add-in is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center.
