Die Bildbearbeitungssoftware Paint.NET ist jetzt auch als App im Microsoft Store erhältlich. Bei Paint.NET handelt es sich um eine Bild- und Fotobearbeitungssoftware für Windows. Es bietet eine intuitive und innovative Benutzeroberfläche mit Unterstützung für Ebenen, unbegrenztes Rückgängigmachen, Spezialeffekte, viele nützliche und leistungsfähige Werkzeuge und Plug-Ins. Die aktuelle Version 4.0.18 ist die erste Version, die im Windows Store verfügbar ist. In der neuen Version gab es auch einige signifikante Optimierungen für die Startperformance, auch Plug-Ins werden unterstützt. Anstatt sie in das Installationsverzeichnis zu legen, gehe in den Ordner Documents und erstelle einen neuen Ordner mit dem Namen paint.net App Files. Erstelle dann die üblichen Unterordner und platziere die entsprechenden Plugins in jedem der Unterordner. Die App kann ab sofort im Microsoft Store geladen und getestet werden.
