Microsoft hat im Laufe der Woche ein größeres Update mit der Versions-Nummer 2210 für die Microsoft 365 Desktop-Apps wie Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook und Co. veröffentlicht. Die neue Version umfasst Featureupdates für Word und Teams sowie diverse Bug Fixes für Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project und Office: Mit der neuen Version von Excel kannst du jetzt Bilder mit Text in Inhalt umwandeln, den du in Excel bearbeiten kannst. Mit der Funktion Daten aus Bild kannst du die Informationen in einem Bild in Daten auf einem Arbeitsblatt umwandeln. Mit der Funktion namens Dynamic Array Integration kannst du Diagramme mit dynamischen Array-Berechnungen verknüpfen, die Ergebnisse mit variabler Länge erzeugen können. Das Diagramm wird automatisch aktualisiert, um alle Daten zu erfassen, wenn das Array neu berechnet wird, anstatt auf eine bestimmte Anzahl von Datenpunkten festgelegt zu sein. In Teams werden alle vertrauten Funktionen von Meeting-Apps in Teams-VoIP-Anrufen unterstützt. Außerdem können Benutzer jetzt E-Signatur-Genehmigungen erstellen und mehrere Signaturfelder einschließen, ohne außerhalb von Teams auf die Website des E-Signatur-Anbieters gebracht zu werden. Dazu kommen die üblichen Bug Fixes und Verbesserungen, um die Apps zuverlässiger zu machen.

Wenn neue Office 365-Funktionen verfügbar werden, nimmt das Rollout an alle Abonnenten manchmal etwas Zeit im Anspruch. Bei ihrer Veröffentlichung werden diese Updates zuerst an einen kleinen Prozentsatz von Benutzern gesendet. Weitere Benutzer werden dann im Laufe der Zeit hinzugefügt, bis alle Office-Abonnenten ihre Updates erhalten haben. Das Update lässt sich allerdings auch manuell anstoßen. Das Update mit der Versions-Nummer 2206 setzt ein PC mit Windows 10 voraus und kann ab sofort geladen werden. Um das Update für Office 365 manuell anzustoßen, starte Word und erstelle ein neues Dokument -> Gehe zu Datei -> Konto -> Wähle unter Produktinformationen -> Office-Updates -> Updateoptionen -> Jetzt aktualisieren aus. Featureupdates für Excel
- Get data for your workbooks by importing an image: Turn images with text into content you can edit in Excel. With the Data from Picture feature, you can convert the information in an image to data on a worksheet.
- Dynamic Array Integration with Charts: This feature enables users to link charts to Dynamic array calculations, which can produce results of variable length. The chart will automatically update to capture all data when the array recalculates, rather than being fixed to a specific number of data points.

- Teams Platform Apps in One-on-One VOIP Calls: All the familiar functionalities of meeting apps – tabs, bots, in-meeting dialogue, and meeting stage – will be supported in Teams VOIP Calls. Users of your apps will enjoy the same familiar app experience as seen in Teams Meetings, in their Teams VOIP Calls.
- Users can create e-signature approvals containing signature fields within Teams: Users can now create e-signature approvals and include multiple signature fields without being brought outside Teams to the e-sign providers website.

- We fixed an issue that caused emails to get stuck in the outbox for some profiles with multiple Exchange accounts configured.
- We fixed an issue with updating links when the linked file is already open.
- We fixed a second issue where Project was unable to connect to Project Server when forms-based authentication was used. In some cases, users who were able to connect, for example, the day before were unable to connect the next day. Deleting the server connection profile temporarily fixed the issue.
- We fixed an issue in the Word dark mode theme where you are unable to see editable text in documents with restricted editing because the highlight color is too similar to the text color.
- We fixed an issue where pasting keep source formatting results into content controls would display characters such as a question mark (?) or a blank square.
- We fixed an issue where the file could not be opened when using the command „update linked information in a Word source document“ on documents saved in the cloud.
- We fixed an issue where Word Android closed unexpected with or without user input when opening a document.
- We fixed an issue with URL handling by Visual Basic macros.
