Microsoft verteilt für die Office-Desktop-Apps mit Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, OneDrive, Skype und Teams mit einem Microsoft 365-Abonnement ein neues Update auf die Version 2012 an alle Nutzer. Microsoft 365-Abonnenten erhalten regelmäßig neue und verbesserte Office-Funktionen: So wird mit der neuen Version die Speicherung der Outlook-Einstellungen in der Cloud unterstützt. Aktiviere dazu das Kästchen unter Outlook für Microsoft 365 › Datei › Optionen › Allgemein › Clopudspeicheroptionen › Meine Outlook-Einstellungen in der Cloud speichern. Wenn dieses Kontrollkästchen aktiviert wird, werden deine Outlook-Einstellungen in der Cloud gespeichert und für Outlook Apps freigegeben. Somit werden die Einstellungen für dein Microsoft 365-Konto automatisch auf all deinen Geräten, die Outlook für Windows verwenden, verteilt. Dieses Update verbessert auch die Leistung und behebt viele kleine Probleme in der Office-Suite sowie in Excel, Outlook und PowerPoint.

Wenn neue Office 365-Funktionen verfügbar werden, nimmt das Rollout an alle Abonnenten manchmal etwas Zeit im Anspruch. Bei ihrer Veröffentlichung werden diese Updates zuerst an einen kleinen Prozentsatz von Benutzern gesendet. Weitere Benutzer werden dann im Laufe der Zeit hinzugefügt, bis alle Office-Abonnenten ihre Updates erhalten haben. Das Update lässt sich allerdings auch manuell anstoßen. Das Update mit der Versions-Nummer 2012 setzt ein PC mit Windows 10 voraus und kann ab sofort geladen werden. Um das Update für Office 365 manuell anzustoßen, starte Word und erstelle ein neues Dokument -> Gehe zu Datei -> Konto -> Wähle unter Produktinformationen -> Office-Updates -> Updateoptionen -> Jetzt aktualisieren aus. Die Version 2012 enthält die folgenden Neuerungen und Verbesserungen:

  • Fixed an issue where Excel might close unexpectedly when using the „Show Values As“ menu for a PivotTable.
  • Fixed an issue where Excel may leave macros disabled without prompting when opening an Excel Add-in file containing Excel 4.0 Macros.
  • Fixed an issue where some users would incorrectly see a message bar informing them of a new version of a file when coauthoring.
  • This change addresses an issue with properly displaying fonts within equations.
  • We fixed an issue that caused some customers to encounter a hang while loading their calendars.This change addresses an issue with path fills when applying Merge Shapes operations with certain geometries.
  • This change addresses an issue with properly displaying fonts within equations.
  • We have fixed an issue where font size command, added in QAT, auto completes to the nearest defined font size while updating it.
  • Optimized binary size.
  • Anaheim WebView does not support Windows Information Protection (WIP) yet. With this fix Office addin platform falls back to down level WebView in WIP enabled environment. That can be either Edge Spartan WebView or Trident WebView depending on customer’s machine environment. Both down level WebViews support WIP.
