Microsoft hat im Rahmen des gestrigen Patchday für Dezember 2013 auch mehrere Office 2013 Updates, darunter auch sicherheitsrelevante Updates die sich an Office und Lync richten, veröffentlicht. Außerdem stehen nicht sicherheitsrelevante Updates für Office 2013, Word 2013, PowerPoint 2013, Access 2013, OneNote 2013, Publisher 2013, InfoPath 2013, SkyDrive Pro, Visio 2013 und Project 2013 zum Download bereit. Die Sicherheitsupdates beheben eine Schwachstelle, die Offenlegung von Information ermöglichen könnte, wenn ein Benutzer versucht, eine Datei zu öffnen, die auf einer schädlichen Website gehostet wird und eine weitere Schwachstelle, die Remotecodeausführung ermöglichen kann wenn ein Benutzer Inhalte anzeigt, die speziell gestaltete TIFF-Dateien enthalten. Alle Updates können ab sofort sowohl über Microsoft Update als auch im Microsofts Download Center heruntergeladen werden.
