Microsoft hat im Laufe des Abends über das Office Blog die sofortige Verfügbarkeit von diversen nicht sicherheitsrelevanten Updates für Office 2013 und 2016 angekündigt. Bei allen Updates, die im Teil 1 des Patchday für Januar 2018 veröffentlicht wurden, handelt es sich um optionale Updates, sie müssen also nicht unbedingt installiert werden, auch wenn die Installation seitens Microsoft empfohlen wird. Die Updates stellen die neuesten Fixes für Microsoft Office bereit, außerdem verbessern sie die Stabilität und Leistung der Software. Die Updates wurden am Dienstag, den 02. Januar 2018 veröffentlicht, betreffen Office 2010, 2013 und 2016 und können ab sofort sowohl über Microsoft Update als auch im Microsoft Download Center geladen werden. Die Updates aus dem Download Center sind nur für die MSI-basierte Edition von Office bestimmt. Bei Office-Click-to-Run-Editionen wie Office 365 Home werden alle Updates automatisch installiert. Microsoft hat am heutigen Dienstag, den 02. Januar 2018 die folgenden nicht sicherheitsrelevanten Updates für Office 2010, 2013 und 2016 veröffentlicht. Diese monatlichen Updates sollen Nutzern helfen, ihre Computer sicher und auf dem neuesten Stand zu halten. Es wird empfohlen, alle Updates zu installieren. Die Updates können jetzt über Windows Update oder bei Microsoft geladen werden.
