Microsoft hat die Verfügbarkeit von diversen nicht sicherheitsrelevanten Updates für Office 2010, 2013 und 2016 über das offizielle Office Blog angekündigt. Bei allen Updates, die im Teil 1 des Patchday für Februar 2018 veröffentlicht wurden, handelt es sich um optionale Updates, sie müssen also nicht unbedingt installiert werden, auch wenn die Installation empfohlen wird. Die Updates stellen die neuesten Fixes für Microsoft Office bereit, außerdem verbessern sie die Stabilität und Leistung der Software. Die Updates betreffen Office 2010, 2013 und 2016 und können ab sofort geladen werden. Alle Updates aus dem Microsoft Download Center sind nur für die MSI-basierte Edition von Office bestimmt. Bei Office-Click-to-Run-Editionen wie Office 365 Home werden alle Updates automatisch installiert.
