Microsoft hat die Verfügbarkeit von diversen nicht sicherheitsrelevanten Updates angekündigt. Bei allen Updates, die im Teil 1 des Patchday für August 2018 veröffentlicht wurden, handelt es sich um optionale Updates. Sie müssen nicht unbedingt installiert werden, auch wenn die Installation seitens Microsoft empfohlen wird. Die Updates stellen die neuesten Fixes für Office 2013 und 2016 bereit, außerdem verbessern sie die Stabilität und Leistung. Die Updates wurden am heutigen Dienstag, den 07. Microsoft hat am Dienstag, den 07. August 2018 folgende nicht sicherheitsrelevanten Updates für Office 2013 und 2016 im Rahmen des Patchday für August 2018 veröffentlicht. Diese Updates sollen Nutzern helfen, ihre PCs sicher und auf dem neuesten Stand zu halten. Die Updates aus dem Microsoft Download Center sind nur für die MSI-basierte Edition von Office bestimmt. Bei Office-Click-to-Run-Editionen werden die Updates automatisch installiert.
