Die Standard Version von Internet Explorer 11 für die 32-Bit Editionen von Windows 7 und für die 64-Bit Editionen von Windows 7 und Windows Server 2008 R2 mit SP1 oder neuer hatte Microsoft im November freigegeben. Internet Explorer 11 bietet eine höhere Browserleistung und einen besseren Schutz des PCs und persönlichen Daten. Die Standard Version von Internet Explorer 11 ist im Gegensatz zu Internet Explorer 11 für Windows 7 mit Bing und MSN auch unter Windows Server 2008 R2 mit SP1 oder neuer lauffähig und kann über die IE-Webseite heruntergeladen werden.
